Surgery Center at JPMC

The Bartlesville Surgery Center is now a part of Jane Phillips Medical Center. Following two years of discussion, JPMC recently completed a series of transactions that paved the way for the hospital to use the 11,000 square foot facility as an extension of its existing surgery department.
Located at 230 SE Howard Avenue just north of the hospital’s Emergency Room entrance, the building will now be known as the Jane Phillips Outpatient Surgery Center. “While this is an important acquisition for the hospital, our patients will be the ones who truly benefit,” said David R. Stire, JPMC President/ CEO. “The Center will have a very positive impact on the profitability and stability of the hospital while providing those who come to us for care with convenient access to quality surgical services.”
Since the facility was built in 2002, a group of local physicians used and managed the Center. Most of those same physicians have formed a company that will own the building and the land while JPMC will own the equipment, employ the personnel, and oversee the business.
JPMC staff is dedicated to getting the center ready for hospital- based operations. Currently, all procedures and surgeries are being performed in the hospital. The center is expected to re-open in April. Afterward, outpatient surgeries will be performed in both the hospital and the center.
