The arrival of a new baby is one of the most special and exciting experiences of your life. Whether you are a first-time mom or an experienced mom, our expert care, state-of-the-art facility and warm, personal attention will give you peace of mind during this special time.
At Jane Phillips Medical Center's Family Services Labor and Delivery Unit, we are here to share in the joy and excitement of this special time. Our caring nurses and staff have been specially trained to understand the needs of expecting and laboring moms. They will make your stay comfortable and work with you to help you achieve your childbirth goals. We believe that a family-centered environment is the best start for you and your baby. Our completely renovated area provides the look and comfort of home with the highest level of technology available. Rest assured that you and your baby will have access to all the services of a full service hospital.
Our goal is to make your birth experience a special one, and as pleasant and comfortable as possible. So if you are planning for parenthood, we're planning for your special delivery.
During labor, family members are welcome to visit you in your room. During delivery your support person will stay by your side. After the baby is born, one of our newborn nursery nurses will come to your LDR room to do a check up and assessment on your new baby. Our nurses will help you bond and breastfeed your baby within moments of birth. Shortly after delivery your family and friends can re-join you in your room to meet your new baby.
